Title: CONTRACT FARMING OF DURUM WHEAT IN GREECE – Pasta Industry

Abstract

The main goal of this research is to capture the current situation in durum wheat cultivation with contract farming in Greece. Cereals is one of the main crops not only in Greece but also in Europe, with significant economic impact. In recent years the use of contract farming for the cultivation of cereals has been increased in Greece as in Europe. The outcome of this research is to identify the production cost of farmers participating in contract farming for durum wheat cultivation, for a sample of 100 farmers in the region of Thessaly and Viotia (cultivation period 2019-2020).
