Title: "E-Banking, Present and Future"
Abstract
This paper deals with electronic banking in its entire range, as well as the factors that contributed to its wide spread such as the rapid development of technology, capital controls, and the Covid-19 pandemic. It also highlights the new way bank customers carry out their daily transactions and how much this has changed from the traditional way that prevailed in previous decades.
The study is focused:
a) in the types of electronic banking such as Internet Banking, POS, ATMs and Mobile Banking,
b) the most common online banking services and the security issues of online banking,
c) the advantages and disadvantages of electronic transactions.
d) the legislative framework on which electronic banking and consequently electronic commerce is based.
In addition, examines not only the current degree of use of electronic banking by the customers of Greek financial institutions but also whether customers will continue to use electronic banking services in the future. The information comes from scientific studies that have been included in international scientific journals in order to contribute to bibliographic research.
Also, a sample survey is conducted on customers of Greek financial institutions that use electronic banking to complete their banking transactions. The research is based on the use of the sampling quantitative method and the processing of 243 questionnaires, which were answered.
