Title: To Trade or not to Trade? An Evaluation of Technical Analysis into Athens Stock Exchange

Abstract

In this paper, we incorporate technical analysis strategy into Greek Stock Market. These strategies used by professionals and the most important factors in investment analysis to the Greek market. Data are collected from most of the investment companies in Greece. The most used tools of technical analysis such as RSI, MACD and Stochastic, as long as patterns and candlesticks will be discussed. The methodologies employed include questionnaire and is presented, as well as statistical analysis. The results provide strong evidence on the profitability of the technical trading rules and contradict the efficient market hypothesis.
