Title: Shadow economic activities in Turkey: A review of the literature

Abstract

This study surveys the literature on size of the shadow economy, its determinants, informal labour, tax evasion, the relationship between the shadow and the formal economy, and the determinants of corruption and its relation with the shadow economy in the case of Turkey.
