Title: New Democracy and Public Administration during the economic crisis

Abstract

The purpose of this announcement is to explore the strategy of New Democracy in public administration since 2009, when the impact of the international financial crisis had a decisive impact on the Greek economy. The functioning of public administration depends on the relationship of the administrative mechanism with the political parties. Thus, during the Third Hellenic Republic, public administration was a field of great controversy between New Democracy and PASOK. Thus, the political parties had a decisive influence on the role and functions of the public sector. Due to the impact of the global economic crisis, this announcement focuses on analyzing the New Democracy's pre-election positions and the corresponding government measures during the period 2009-2015. The elections of 2009 are chosen as a starting point because the electoral programs focus on economic stability packages. A comparative analysis of New Democracy's financial programs (Zappeion 1,2 and 3) as well as any convergences or divergences will be attempted. Finally, the interest is based on whether the public administration's legislative initiative is an implementation of New Democracy's positions or the adoption of memoranda.
