Title: Global consumer trends in Covid19
Abstract
The Covid19 pandemic has disrupted global health systems, leading to partial or full lockdowns on cities or countries levels. The crisis has spread on global economies and social life, with people and businesses experiencing an unprecedented and abrupt change in their economics. Many consumers lost their jobs temporarily or permanently, while others shifted to remote working from their homes safety. The contemporary living epicenter has transited to peoples homes, which has accelerated both consumers digital transformation and consumers maturity in terms of making purchase decisions. The intensity of the change in everyday life caused by the pandemic can be reflected by the fact that the previous global pandemic took place a century ago.
The changing consumer behavior and consequent changing consumer trends summarize to a turn to products real value, to ethics, sustainability, as well to a drastic increase of e-commerce and a trend towards healthy eating and products supporting work from home or entertain at home. Finally, this coursework concludes that consumers are more willing than ever to disallow their personal data in order to safeguard their health and the public health.
