Title: Web Application for Municipality Self-Evaluation in the context of Smart Cities

This thesis aims to study the smart cities in general in the world and in particular in Greece and the creation of a self-assessment tool through which Cities - Municipalities see the situation in which they are to discover their problems and opportunities for improvement them and simultaneously an action plan for what should a municipality that wants to deal with the project "smart city"

For this purpose :

A)  has created an application with questions on the web to collect the necessary data from the municipalities and return to them a report - reference to important information, both for their shortcomings and their capabilities and

B)   Develop an action plan with instructions to municipalities as to where to go, what are the key points to be estoiasei and which areas should be action to the transformation towards a smart city town.

The thesis in principle presents a literature analysis of those used in the present moment, the Smart Cities, presents major smart cities of the World Area, then becomes an analysis of ISO 37120 and other indicators that will be used to analyze the data they have collected from 34 municipalities, the action plan proposed at the end will be presented the final conclusions drawn
