Title: Workplace Bullying as an Effect of the Economic Crisis in Greece: A Comparative Empirical Study of the Public and the Private Sector

Abstract

The article presents the empirical findings of a questionnaire survey carried out in Greece, exploring the effects of the recent financial crisis on organisational behavior. The study provides a comparative examination of the evolution of psychological harassment/abuse at workplace ("workplace bullying") as an impact of the financial crisis in the public and the private sector. The analysis is carried along the gender, age, education, type of employment relationship and professional experience axes. Based on the findings, relevant remarks are made.
