Abstract
This paper explores the prospects for upgrading School-Educational Tourism in the areas where it develops and the economic benefits it can bring.
Educational tourism shapes a growing tourist behavior and offers economic benefits to areas with a wealth of cultural assets, which are a pole of attraction for School-Educational Tourism, coming from both Greece and abroad. This paper attempts to describe and analyze the current situation of School-Educational Tourism in Greece as well as its economic impact. Ιt should be noted that in general, the students who have participated in the research have a more modest view than teachers and parents about how much school trips provide incentives to find new ways of alternative tourism and, more generally, the potential for a substantial impact on them on top of them, while on the other hand they consider them an essential component of the educational process. Therefore, the description and the exploration of a tourist product, that will stimulate the development and the choice of the particular form of tourism, as it will also bring significant economic benefits, but also ways to upgrade it, is the main objective of the work, which is to be thoroughly analyzed in the main text of this paper.
