Greek pharmacies today do a lot more than just fill prescriptions. Their roles are very diverse. Pharmacists are very important for public health because they make sure that people get the right medicines, keep high ethical standards. Pharmacists are important members of the healthcare team because they help make sure that treatments work as well as possible and that the risks of drug use are as low as possible.
This study uses a method of quantitative analysis and a questionnaire that is structured to get information from pharmacy professionals in Greece. In this study a non-probability convenience sampling technique will be employed to select 150 pharmacists practicing in Greece. The analysis of the collected data incorporates both descriptive and inferential statistical techniques through the use of SPSS software.
Results revealed that regulatory complexity, particularly increasing requirements and unclear legislation, poses significant challenges. Economic crises negatively impacted profitability, although pharmacies displayed resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic. Business strategies focused on diversification into non-drug services, and digital transformation was recognized as a crucial component for future sustainability and customer engagement.
The conclusions emphasize the necessity for policy support, ongoing professional development, and greater integration of pharmacies into the primary healthcare system. Greek pharmacies are evolving into vital healthcare hubs, balancing professional ethics with entrepreneurial strategies to meet modern societal demands.
